Temple Guard 2, an unnamed character, appears briefly in the opening scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark. He is one of the indigenous people hired to assist Indiana Jones in his perilous quest to retrieve the golden idol from a booby-trapped temple in the Peruvian jungle.

His primary role is to carry equipment and provide muscle during the expedition. He is seen navigating the treacherous terrain and assisting with the removal of obstacles as the group ventures deeper into the temple.

Unfortunately for Temple Guard 2, his involvement is short-lived. He meets a gruesome end when triggered a booby trap after Indiana had already replaced the Idol with a bag of sand. He is impaled by numerous darts shot from the temple walls.

While a minor character with no dialogue, Temple Guard 2's demise serves to highlight the extreme dangers Indy faces and the ruthlessness of the ancient traps protecting the temple's treasures. His fate underscores the disposable nature of those who accompany Jones on his adventures and the high stakes involved.
